Unbox Tippy and confirm you have received all of your equipment which includes the Tippy Kiosk (iPad in a black stand) and the appropriate power block.
Plug the Tippy Kiosk in to a direct power source and power on
Connect iPad to reliable Wi-Fi network - we recommend a private network in your business that does not have a high volume of traffic
Go to Tippy ProX App on Home Screen (Pig Icon) - swipe through the first few informational screens
Enter in your Company Code - located on your How-To pamphlet with your package OR on your Tippy Dashboard (click here to sign in)
Choose your location - for businesses with 2 or more locations please choose the location the device will be operating in
Choose a staff member to send a security login code - if only the owner is registered they will be the only option - this code can be sent via text message or email
Enter security code once received
A screen with a “Device Code” should be displayed - that Device Code will need to be entered into your respective POS system in order to sync. You’ll know it’s been added once the screen changes to our splash screen with the verbiage “I’m here to check you out”
Create a test transaction by opening a demo ticket in your point of sale, making sure to add a service worth $1 or more, and collecting payment on the ticket. Based on your point of sale, activate Tippy and ensure the screen of the iPad updates to ask the client for a gratuity to confirm the integration was successful.
Cancel the Tippy transaction by clicking “Cancel” next to the Tippy button and delete the ticket
