Unbox Tippy and confirm you have received all of your equipment which includes an iPad in a Black stand, a Square EMV Reader and appropriate power blocks
Plug the Tippy Kiosk (iPad in Black Stand) into a direct power source and power on
Connect Kiosk to reliable Wi-Fi network - we recommend a private network in your business that does not have a high volume of traffic
Go to Tippy Pro App (Purple T Icon) on Home Screen - swipe through the first few informational screens
Enter in your Company Code - located on your How-To pamphlet with your package OR on your Tippy Dashboard (click here to sign in)
Choose your location - for businesses with 2 or more locations please choose the location the device will be operating in
Choose an approved user to send a security login code - if only the owner is registered they will be the only option - this code can be sent via text message or email
Enter security code once received
A white pop up labeled "Square Readers" will pop up to prompt you to pair your Square EMV Reader. Tap on "Connect a Reader"
Note: If you skip this step you can re-access the pairing menu by tapping on the menu icon in the top left hand corner and selecting "Manage Reader"Press and hold down the pairing button until the lights on the reader flash orange. Release the button and place the reader by the iPad
Screen will prompt you to ‘pair’ the reader and be sure to click ‘pair’
The EMV reader will flash green to confirm it has been paired with the iPad; the screen of the iPad will change to a Status Screen with “Contactless and Chip” at the top. Note the Status - the device may begin updating once paired with the iPad, please let the update install. Once the update is complete, the Status should say “Ready”
