Troubleshooting tips for Square reader issues

  1. Remove the iPad from the Square Stand and place the iPad back in the Square stand. Double check that there is a lightning bolt in the battery of the iPad to ensure the cords are supplying power

  2. From the iPad Settings click ‘Bluetooth'>blue 'i'> forget all devices that appear, close settings once completed

  3. Begin by force closing the Tippy Pro App

  4. Follow the EMV reader cord to the hardware hub, unplug the USB and plug it back into another USB port, checking to see if the EMV reader lights up green

  5. Reopen the Tippy app and Initiate a test transaction, double checking that the last screen says 'Tap, insert or swipe to pay'

  6. X' out of the last page to cancel the transaction

Pro Tip: If there is an orange/yellow bar at the top of the pay screen that means the EMV reader is doing an update. PLEASE leave the square screen open until it's complete
